Spotted Golden Angle

Description

  • Common Name : Spotted Golden Angle
  • Scientific Name : Caprona agama (Moore)
  • Family : HESPERIIDAE
  • Wingspan : 35-40mm
  • Colour : Yellowish brown, semitransparent white spots on fore wings. Two forms are found one is "erosula" and another one is "agama". Wing shape is distinctly different from Common Small Flat.
  • Habit : It flies swiftly. Found along the path or forest clearings of dry deciduous forest.
  • Larval Host Plants : Helicetres isora
